For the kids: Home theater.

Updated: Oct 27, 2020

Are you bored? well not anymore! in this post you'll learn a neat art project to do at your house!

Home theater:

what you'll need:

Sticks

Paper or cardboard ( depending on how long your willing to cut for )

Scissors

Tape or glue

Flashlight

A box

An audience

Step one:

gather sticks.

Step two:

Take your paper and scissors and cut out your characters. ( outline optional ) some examples, animals, humans, blobs or other shapes for things like alien life.

Step three:

attach cut outs to your sticks. make sure there on the very tip.

Step four:

take your box. measure out the size of the BOTTOM of your flashlight, and cut a hole slightly smaller then it.

Step five:

Insert Flashlight into hole. wiggle it in there snug. cardboard is pretty flexible and will take to the shape of the side of the flashlights.

Step six:

Place flashlight box on the ground bellow a blank ceiling space, turn off any bright lights in the area and turn on the flash light.

Step seven:

gather your audience. all audience members should lay down bellow your screen. somewhere where they can see the lighted wall space clearly.

Step eight:

Take your characters and begin the show! put your characters above the light - not to close though - and there shadows should appear on the ceiling!

Step nine ( optional ):

Go even further! create landscapes for your characters! make chairs, trees, houses and much more the same way you made your characters!

Hope you all enjoyed the craft! I'll share more crafts like this soon!

Tips:

The closer your character is to the light the bigger it is. If you want a giant character just put it closer to the light.

DON'T color your paper. It won't show in the shadows.

HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!
